Invoking the rule against hearsay evidence and claiming that Defendants acted negligently and unlawfully, Applicant seeks reimbursement of over $50 Million paid by Quebecers to the Government as a result of photo radar and red light camera infractions.
All natural and legal persons who, since December 30th, 2013 (the “Class Period”), were issued a statement of offence involving a photo radar and/or a red light camera in the province of Quebec.
Remedies sought for consumers
- Compensatory and moral damages;
- Declaratory judgment declaring that the photo radar and/or red light camera evidence used by the government is inadmissible and illegal;
- Injunctive relief ordering the government to cease using photo radar and/or red light camera evidence;
